Keeping your dog's muscles warm before and after walks and training can prevent injuries and help with faster recovery. This means your dog's body does not need to use unnecessary energy to maintain body temperature.

Wool blankets are ideal between releases on hunting grounds and are useful for all dogs regardless of breed. Older dogs, dogs with injuries or arthritis, which often have poorer circulation and get cold more easily, will particularly benefit from a wool blanket. No one likes to be cold! Wool should be the first choice for any dog on cold days in winter or damp days. Feel free to put your hand under the blanket to feel if the dog is cold or warm.

Even though the dog blanket is not waterproof or windproof, it offers outstanding warmth and comfort. Wool is soft and gives the dog good mobility, which makes it ideal both in the car on cold days and before or after training and walks. It is naturally antistatic and resists odors better than synthetic materials, which makes the wool blanket hygienic and practical to use.

WATCH VIDEO SHOWING THE ADVANTAGES OF THE AMBASSADØR WOOL BLANKET

Unsure which size to choose?

See size guide in its own tab.

You measure the dog from slightly in front between the shoulder blades to the base of the tail (in front of the tail when you hold it up). Unlike other blanket brands, the measurements provided for the Ambassadør Dog Blanket are the cm length from the tightening at the neck to where we consider the base of the tail should be. The blanket should lie well down and be tightened at the back, and the number of centimeters from the tightening at the neck to the end is therefore more than the cm measurement stated for the size. This means that size M (45 cm) will be the full length of the blanket approximately 55 cm.

How to wash and treat a wool dog blanket?
The big advantage with wool is that it is self-cleaning and sustainable in many ways, but there are several things you should be aware of when washing and treating it.

We recommend shaking it and airing it outside in fresh air for a couple of hours.
