Telemark Wool Jacket 100% wool
- In stock
A wonderfully warm and cozy jacket made of thick 100% merino wool. Unisex model. Although it does not have windproof fabric, it provides incredible insulation. Telemark is designed specifically for outdoor enthusiasts, active dog owners, mushers, snowmobile riders, and hunters. The wool jacket is completely silent for stalking, and warm for those sitting on a stand. In addition, it has an attachment for a hunting radio antenna. This jacket is just as suitable for a late autumn evening as it is in winter. The jacket is tailored over the shoulders for an incredibly good fit. It features raglan sleeves, an extended back, a high collar, a detachable hood, zippered side pockets, and chest pockets with vertical zippers. TELEMARK is a lighter version of GRIMSBU. (The density of the wool fabric in Telemark is 400 g/m² - in Grimsbu it is 500 g/m²).

Why wool? All Canelana wool products are made of high-quality merino wool. Wool has three fantastic properties: It warms, insulates, and breathes. Wool warms even when wet (and absorbs up to 30% of its own weight). Wool is not static, and odors do not cling to wool products as they do in synthetic fabrics. Wool is nature's gift to us – a natural, renewable, and biodegradable fiber. Wool is timeless and universal, contributing to a long-lasting wardrobe instead of "buy and throw away." For those who want high-quality, functional wool products, Canelana is a great first choice!
About washing and cleaning the TELEMARK jacket and other Canelana wool products:
- We recommend shaking and airing it outdoors in fresh air for a couple of hours. Dirt usually does not penetrate the wool fibers but settles on the outside.
-
When washing, we recommend machine washing on a wool cycle at 30 degrees using a dedicated wool detergent.
-
Wool products should be washed separately for the best result.
-
Preferably avoid hand washing, as it can be difficult to regulate the temperature and remove residue from soap and dirt compared to machine washing.
-
Centrifugation also ensures that the wool fabric dries faster and provides less favorable conditions for bacterial growth.
